Yunxiang Organic Oolong Tea Base
.Yunxiang Organic Oolong Tea Base is located on the Ziyun Mountain in Anxi county ( Fujian province), approximately 100 kilometers to the northwest of Xiamen city. With an attitude of over 1300 meters, Mount Ziyun is the highest mountain for tea plantation in Anxi county as well as one of the three master mountains in this county, covering an area of more than 600 hectares. Mount Ziyun was a volcano 100 million years ago. On its top still exists the crater, which the local people call as Tianchi, heaven pool in English. With an annual average temperature of 15-18℃ and an annual precipitation of 1800-2000 mm, the tested surface water of Mount Ziyun contains a wide range of minerals beneficial to human bodies. Clouds envelop the mountain tops. Mount Ziyun is endowed with its unique advantage of natural ecological environment for developing organic oolong tea.
Mount Ziyun enjoys a comfortable climate and fresh air free from pollution. The rank soil here has an organic content of above 3%,. Tea plants are watered by clear and sweet mountain streams, which meets China’s national standard of drinking water. In 1999 organic food experts from ECOCERT came to inspect, examine and certify this organic oolong tea production base. This base now has accessed many organic certifications by related international or national organic certification organizations.
